Prima Master Dry Cleaners
What is Prima and why are we better?
Prima offers general and specialised cleaning of garments, accessories and upholstery.
Our gentler process uses natural water, safe-cleaning solutions and modern technology for better and much fresher results than the solvents and hydrocarbons used by our competition.
Our technology means our shops are cheaper to set up and run (with only one person), we can offer competitive prices with more profit, do everything on the premises and serve customers faster – thus we can operate successfully in more places than traditional competitors.
A proven business
Prima has been successful for over FIFTEEN years – so we can prove you can target £100,000 in Year One.
The table shows actual first year turnover for one of our suburban shops (city-centres do more).
In Year Two you should target around £130,000 to £170,000+. As a cash business, your cash flows should also be good from the start.
Additional income can be made from home collection and delivery services, specialist cleaning and commercial cleaning for local restaurants etc.
It’s easier to set up a Prima shop
We have carefully chosen our shop design and automated equipment to make the running of a Prima unit as simple and cost-effective as possible with the least number of staff.
This makes Prima as attractive and profitable for a family team or an investor employing staff to run.
Our franchise is also ‘turn-key’, so we can arrange all premises fit-out, machinery, business set-up and training for you within one affordable package.
What does it cost?
A fully-fitted shop, including franchise joining fee, deposit on leased machinery, average building works and shop fitting would be around £74,626 (+ VAT).
Banks may lend 50% (subject to status) – so your investment could be as low as £37,313+VAT before working capital. (And you can reclaim VAT anyway).
What do I get for my money?
- A fully-fitted shop in an exclusive territory.
- Deposit on all leased equipment.
- All computer, till and management systems.
- Set-up of your new company.
- Full training for you and your staff.
Territories and exclusivity
We protect our franchisees by giving them fantastic levels of exclusivity; each territory holding at least 75,000 privately owned households.
Can I develop more shops?
Yes, you can open more in your territory or simply buy into more territories around you.
How will you look after me?
We support you with all the advice and visits you need throughout every year and:
- Assistance approaching the banks and leasing.
- A CPD training program and loyalty program for staff.
- A business coaching program over the first 6 months.
- Monthly visits to discuss and assist your development.
- Technical and advisory database.
- A dedicated relationship manager.
Who are you looking for?
Couples and family teams: A single shop is well suited to a family team.
Investors and portfolio franchisees: As shops are affordable and only require one member of staff (except in peaks), Prima offers good returns to franchisees opening more than one unit.
Do I need any experience?
You don’t need experience – just the right work ethic and common sense; the rest we can train you and your staff in.
